Go ahead sport. Use PC for whatever you want. If you get into any sort of problem, you will be taken hard up the ###. "Oh, my butt buddy uses it for hook-ups"! You will be taken and destroyed if you hurt someone, don't go that way. Please. Lawyer planet does not like our kind. Keep it clean.

Does anybody actually use pc regularly? Seems like a murky grey area that from what ive seen with very limited understanding is more trouble than its worth .

I use PC quite often, bobtailing to and from the terminal / motel. Usually only 20 to 30 minutes per trip. Asked what I used it for to gave that answer, no problem.

I use it all the time. Shippers/receivers always keep me late, I wind up running out of drive time and have to PC to a truck stop. Also PC home after my last delivery. Also PC to restaurants and food stores during my 34 resets. All legal.

I had a dedicated food delivery route and got to the last stop of my day with only 20 minutes left on my 14 hour clock. Took me about an hour and a half to deliver so when I was done, I would PC a truckstop less than 5 minutes away. Did that every single week for a couple of years. Never any issue.

Yes you will get different answers because there are no regulations, only guidance from the FMCSA.
