Don't worry about it, I had to sign the same thing a long time back when I took my test to get my CDL back thanks to the state screwing it all up, it was covering their butts.

It's rare for a state to invalidate 3rd Party Examinations, but it happens on occasion. EVERY episode I've heard about is when the state has found evidence of fraud or "pencil-whipping" some or all parts of a pre-trip, backing, road test. Swift had a school near Millington, TN. The State of TN required all students that graduated between certain dates to retest or surrender their CDL.

I'm sure you are safe. I would not worry about it, and I worry about everything.

Yeah, as mentioned above, Swift at their school in Tn, some years back, got popped for not doing the tests properly. I would talk with mgmt and testers at West and see what they say.

Years ago when I started in California through CRST, the dmv could randomly call a couple people who went thru the school to take a test at the dmv in the first few months or a year, I don’t remember. I don’t know if they actually ever did it, but I suppose it was their way of keeping companies from just using their examiners and handing out cdls in Cracker Jack boxes. Although honestly half the people in my class probably shouldn’t have passed anyways.

Don't sweat it. She's been testing for years and used to work for TDOT. Has plenty of friends and contacts at TDOT. She does it right and won't get popped for fraud.

Yeah, she does an excellent job matter of fact, very professional.

The more I dig up and read about it, the reason for having to sign that form at all seems to be because of the Swift incident. I'm sure nothing will ever come of it and I look forward to getting out on the road this week!

OMG, my state hires morons at the Secretary of State, they claim it was a computer glitch but I wasn't the only one this happened to. When my company pulled my MVR, it showed no CDL info, my safety girl called and asked about it and they said I self-revoked it what ever that means. So instead of trying to fight these morons, I just took the written and road test again and had it back.
