So, never having been inside a tractor with a sleeping berth, do sounds like the radio and other things in the cab carry back to the berth? I assume they have a door between the two areas, and not just a curtain on a rod???
Can we drive with ear buds/headphones on?

The sounds from the radio etc do carry somewhat from the driving compartment back to the sleeper. There is no door between the cab and the sleeper but rather what is essentailly a vinyl lightproof curtain. Closing the curtain cuts down on the noise from the cab but doesn't eliminate the noise back to the sleeper.

Here's what we do. On the surface streets we turn the the sounds off. too much can happen while on the surface street there's just too much noise you have to be turned into. Once up on the interstats we crank them up buy you have to mov e you eyes more.
Just use common sense, if you're droving in an area where you need to hear the truck the just put the sounds away.
You don't have to use all your sense all the time but if you think you have a proublem then you'll want all you have. Be safe and make money. -
I'm a independent driver. So, I can drive with ear buds I blast them in my ear. I can still hear, if a emergency vehicle have their flashing lights and sirens on I can hear it. I'm good every once in a while I use my speaker. My favorite song is country the best country music is Sam Hunt Body like a Back road.

Them earbud things n headfones is why i cant get a smokey report on ch19---------Thanks alot!
Cottonmouth85 Thanks this. -
If you use one earbud, use mono audio and set the balance all the way to left or right, depending. Otherwise it sounds horrible on tracks that use left/right channels.
