However I have to interject something personal. you didn't make mistakes, mistakes don't land you in jail and some think it is great to cheapen crimes but you knew what you did and you did the time so don't worry about a job.

 

Btw, have you been unemployed for 6 months or more? If yes, take a trip up the Chester visiting John Tyler com college, they have a driver training school that does the state assisted finance I attended for 150.

A tip; don't reveal anything about your past that isn't specifically asked for. Be truthful, but don't volunteer anything.
A couple of days before starting school, submit some online applications. Don't call first; do the applications first.
You will receive job offers within a few days and the offers will be contingent upon successfully completing cdl school and having any required endorsements.
Get all the endorsements before graduating from school, so they will be on your cdl the day you graduate.
As for the DUI's, some companies ask,"Have you ever had a DUI?" or maybe, "Have you had a DUI within the past 5 years, etc.?" Just answer the question exactly and don't read something into it that not there.

This is probably not relevant to trucking, but could you tell me about white collar crime? I'm guessing you hacked your company's accounting software and installed a virus,which would then take all of those residual pennies and fractions of a cent, which usually go unnoticed until the end of the fiscal decade , and you diverted them all into your own clandestine account. Only, you made a mistake with one little decimal place in the programming code, and you ended up accidentally stealing like $170k in 4 days. Oh sure, it sounds exactly like the plot to Office Space, but I suspect this is what you did. And i need that source code. Asking for a friend

The school you're going to attend costs $7,500? That's about the most expensive I've ever heard of, and I went to one of the highest rated in California for $5,000. I thought it was expensive.
