I drove past that on my way to work yesterday. All I could see was the dirty side, as I was on I-270 headed south. I should have known it was one of the typical suspects.OLDSKOOLERnWV, cke, JonJon78 and 4 others Thank this.

It just occured to me...
I wonder how the typical Amazon trailer is loaded. Is it palletized freight loaded with any degree of logic, or just a bunch of miscellaneous crap stacked floor to ceiling?
Half these guys probably can't even read their BOL, so if they are preloaded then how can they know how the trailer is loaded, how top-heavy it is, etc.?
And I'm sure the loaders aren't any smarter than the drivers. Are they just hurling boxes into the trailer as they come down the line or what? -
Unfortunately the company I work for, our biggest customer is Amazon and I’ve been in a lot of their DC’s and FC’s. About thirty percent of their product is on skids, stacked to about 4’ high. They double stack those in the wagons, side by side. They aren’t your typical wood skid, they are plastic skids that have a lid that straps down to the bottom. Thirty percent they loads are hand bombed in the back, boxes stacked neatly, just like a giant Tetris game. Inside the DC’s and FC’s they teach the associates how to load the trailers like that. But I’ve seen the associates that work there and most of them don’t give a lick. Which leads us to the last forty percent. They just toss that crap in there. There have been many times when the trailer pulls away from the dock, that stuff is spilled out in the truck yard. It’s 50/50 whether it’s a preloaded wagon or not, so that driver may not have known how it was loaded. Doesn’t give any excuse for laying it over, but could help reason.

For once,it isn’t!
But I always figured it was a matter of time before an Amazon truck F’d things up around Columbus,Ohio. There’s a DC/Fulfillment Center north of I-70 near Etna.
I’m actually amazed it hasn’t happened sooner!lol -
And yet again amazon needs to have their operateing authority revoked. Other companys have had theirs pulled for far far less. Then again bezos is likely greaseing a great many palms to make sure it never happens shy of a mass casualty event and even then will grease palms to ensure it doesnt fall back on them.

Many are under their own authority but pulling Amazon exclusively. We have the same issue in Canada with big companies hiring anybody who’s cheap .OLDSKOOLERnWV and JonJon78 Thank this.

Problem is amazon has so much control they actully dictate who these companys hire. Theres been lawsuits amazon has lost already ontop of that over that issue.
