    LOL.
How far chemically different a human urine from the actual def is, would be a valid question. I am sure they smell similar.
In any case, there is plenty of free organic Def jugs on every truck stop.

That’s due to the modern wonder known as common rail, or rather the pilot injection made possible due to the common rail.

Yes, you can bypass DEF, just buy a truck built before 2010.

The ratio of fuel to DEF is only 50:1. So you use roughly 4 gallons of DEF per 200 gallons of fuel. Not sure what the big deal is with some people. It is simply a cost of doing business.

    That’s not the point.

The issue is the affront of the imposition of expensive and unnecessary parts and being dictated to by those who have never drove a truck before, never seen the inside of a truck before, and most likely never run a business before.

If you are just looking for a quick fix to get it back to the shop or to a DEF pump you can unhook the speed sensor from the rear of the transmission. But doing so you loose your speedometer and jake brakes and the truck becomes completely gutless. I know this works on Volvos because I've done it. The truck is still in derate mode, but doesnt know you are moving.
