    Yes.
No liscense required if you are the driver. (vehicle under your control)
There are exceptions if you are restricted from firearms by legal order. The law says "certain criminal convictions, gang member et..."
Do a web search Texas gun laws or look at the statute at the state web site.

I am going to carry a high powered Paintball Gun to start. The law still isnt clear to me. It seems the local law could harass you still. I dont know how they would know though. Just hide it and unload it in states that dont allow it, I guess.

I think you can carry an unloaded legal length shotgun in plain view anywhere though.

Here is a link to "Unlicensed Travelers" information......

***** CAUTION - Hot Chick picture at link *****

I would suggest anyone and everyone who desires to carry would be wise to research the laws.
There are MANY sites to be found with simple google searches.

I think you had better wait and see what the policy of the trucking company you go to work for is.

Contrary to most on here, I have never saw the need to have one or worry.

    Wise men have written.........

You never really need a gun till you need one really bad.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Dead men can't testify against you.

    You have your thoughts.

    I have mine.

I have absolutely no worries about it.

    Evidently you do.
