Can you get mc number / dot # without insurance? Also IRP question

New Mexico/Oregon/Kentucky/New York. Are the only ones I know of you have to have fuel permit. New Mexico and Oregon can be bought at port of entry. All other states are on ifta

 

Your irp tag covers all the states you just pay fuel tax on the ones you go in

 

I’ve is flat fee $76 or so Due from oct thru dec . IRP ( base plate ) ( Cab card) renews annually, date depends your State. When renewing you report all miles ran in recent year and they calculate fees accordingly. In other words you pay after miles are ran . Each States fees are different. So each year plate fees will be a little different.
