Thanks again Chinatown. A&R logistics actually looks like it would be my new top pick. I'm going to call and see how firm they are on the 6 mo experience. And if they are firm on it, they would still work out for me to go to Prime for a year to get paid training and then swap over to them. Thanks,
Can you make $60k/yr as a Prime Company Driver?

Edit: Wait, do you even work for Prime? -

Prime contract drivers earn well over 150 K per year....before taxes and business expenses.

Is prime going like most of the other big companies and putting cameras in the trucks?

They had some guys run them as a test a year or two ago.
Final verdict by owner was, these aren't for us, and they will not be for us.Chucktshoes Thanks this. -
Always running nights.....daytime runs are for guys that have seniority.....and lots of it.
Top pay at my outfit is .613 cpm..... $25.91/ hour....you get paid for EVERY minute of your time.
14 hours a day....everyday 5 days a week.
I work 5 days a week and and home on the weekends. If you consider being home on on late Saturday morning, sleeping till midnight or so and being exhausted Sunday, then back up and working Monday night a weekend.
You may work for a company where you have to work the weekends.
My company, I work the dock forb 3-4 hours a night in addition to running 500 miles, so your always in the move. But that's not typical, most LTL outfits don't let the drivers work the dock. (but that's where you make the extra cash).
Food for thought, hope it helps.DRAGON64 and jhurle9403 Thank this. -
Thank you for that XFM2013.
LTL certainly sounds like a good option once I get the requisite experience.
