Thanks to everyone on here! That was a nice sample of the jobs some have, even with this economy!

Is it really that bad out there?
Jimreaper73 Thanks this. -
i should have 1632 miles and about 3 hrs($22.60) by sunday night. Considering i didn't start to work this week until thurs, this is not too bad.
Our cpm went up to .48cents.
i didn't work last week at all, but the week before and before that one was good; i would have to check my paysheets to list the exact miles and pay. -

It takes 3 years for a 20 year vet to "need" a refresher. Even then, their past experience will have more value than your recent 6 months to a year. During my refresher, I spent a lot of time "training" the first seat driver. Who was clueless about a lot of things...with 5 years experience.
When a 5 year (current) driver needs additional training. It makes me wonder just what kind of drivers we have at other companies, and the driver requirements of those companies.
We currently have an opening. But it requires 1 year minimum...and a very long list of safety violation restrictions that make 30% - 40% of current applicants ineligible.
Now this isn't just a slight against the new driver. Because one of my favorite personal experiences involves a 30 year vet. Who had drove inner city with a single axle tractor and a pup. Trying to tell me how to blindside into a dock designed for a 45 foot trailer, from the street and through a gated fence...with my twin screw and 53 foot trailer.
While I respect the driver for his experience, it was of no value to me. -
Also, please list all exact drop and pickup times for the week. You don't have to list them in order to protect privacy.
So,
5) What were you exact pickup and delivery times?
For me it was:
Thurs, pickup 4:30am, deliver 8am ish
Fri, pickup 6pmish delivered 7am sat
Sunday pickup 12am drop and hook 4pm, deliver 12am monday.
