I would drive a 2022 Pete 579 Ultraloft as a company driver or team anytime. Not as an O/O.
The suspension design make it very comfortable.
It has to have a TK APU.
And no Bendix Wingmen, thank you very much.
Now, the 2023 with their integrated dashboard display... What a huge disappointment.
Failing constantly leaving you out of service.

I agree. I saw a posting not long ago for a position that only ran on Internationals. Everything else sounded good but I didn't pursue it for that reason. Most companies have multiple makes and models, though. You don't know what you're gonna get until they assign it.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Some people might consider you too picky for demanding a functioning AC. I don't, but I suppose it's all of matter of what's important to the individual. When you live and work inside a metal box, I think you have the right to be a little picky about it.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

As long as it’s safe and the Heat and AC work , and it has air ride instead of leaf springs , why do you care what brand it is ?
My first rig was a international cabover with leaf springs and no power steering .
wonder how long you’d last driving that ?
Or are you too good to ride in a cabover ?
Or drive a rig with Armstrong steering ?
Or too snowflakey to drive a rig with leaf springs ?
Or drive a rig with IH on the grill ?
rookie drivers generally do not get brand new nice rigs . Since the rookies are going to hit stuff with it , why assign them a nice truck ?bryan21384 Thanks this. -
I agree. But there are a few old timers who wouldn't. There was a time in trucking before AC. I wouldn't want to have driven it, but many men tougher than us did. Times change, and with it, our expectations of what's normaljethro712 and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

Well... Since you asked, my biggest problem with the Internationals I drove is the amount of time they spent in the shop. And for the record, one of them was brand new. Pretty sad when a truck with less than 10,000 miles has to be put in the shop multiple times. Even sadder when you tell the mechanic at the terminal what's wrong and they already know what brand it is.
I've been wondering how long it would take before someone would ask why I don't like Internationals. Funny how so many just assume it's a cosmetic issueAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
