Canada - 53' Doubles

    Yes.I don't pull one myself,but there are specific routes and streets.It can get quite complicated.They can get of at a certain exit but might only be permitted to go right or left at a different road.Each route can be a few pages of restrictions.I think we have 200 or so tractors pulling what we call turnpikes out west and 25 in the east.

    It can be.Like in NYC or Jersey or numerous other places with tight corners.

    Turnpike Double. They're common in New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, and are legal in a few others.

    We were talking about twin 53's.All of the doubles in those states are 48's.53's aren't allowed as doubles.

    In Mass,they only run the Turnpike, double 27 fts are allowed every where else

    Worst part of them in ontario, is all the rules for them, 90km/h max, no pulling them in 3 winter months, no going through toronto during rush hours, only certain places to park or exit, and if highway closed, they must sit and wait, no detours off route allowed, same weight as regular b trains, 63500 kg max, seems like alot of hassle for a little bit extra pay.
