Yep I bypass scales majority of the time, the 400 series highways have the emergency detour route that runs parallel to the scales. I usually run that if trucker path shows (open or actively monitored). Big or small company they do not care and they will shove that probe so far up your ### your CVOR will be shot.
I hate Ontario, too bad living in any other provinces isn't the greatest either.

Canada won't be able to run mandatory ELOGs, there is no way to park as of now, can you imagine if every truck had to basically off the road at night. Good luck
I personally can't stand running Canada for the parking issue and the rest area/bathroom or there lack of, esp with having a medical conditionLast edited: May 15, 2021
joey8686 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
Good point about the parking!
Canadianhauler21 Thanks this. -
We look like a 3rd world country when in comparison to the usa and there parking amd rest area availability and there continuing to grow it constantly. Every were you go know there is a new loves or pilot/flying j going up. When was the last time you seen a new truck stop go up here? I can count on 1 hand and funny enough it's almost 1 a province lololNorthEastTrucker, joey8686 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this.

Yet companies pay higher cpm gor us drivers. Personally I think a 20cpm bonus for Canadian miles should be the norm. Even a wild dog would not use the concrete toilets in Alberta.

Yep I cannot run Canada either due to parking and lack in infrastructure for trucks. Although when I drove through NB I was able to find parking during any time of day at truck stops. Basically Quebec and Ontario had little to no parking after 9pm.
USA PPM: 60 cents per mile
Canada PPM: 50 cents per mile.
I'd rather put up with the non sense at the border (x-ray and power tripping guards rather than run Canada. -
Canada = bad roads,no parking,no rest areas, lower speed limits, gross truck stops(if you can find one),Ontario scales. Feel free to add your beefs.
joey8686 Thanks this. -
Elephant racing due to speed limitere, little to no rest areas (onroutes are a joke), mostly immigrant drivers (poor quality of CDL drivers)

The onroutes are better than anything in mb,sk ab or bc
Canadianhauler21 Thanks this.
