Canada based company changes pay structure in response to ELD mandate

    Im still relatively new to this side of open deck, but i have several friends who work at that place, its the best paying job around here outside of having a degree, i don't want to deal with the drama that comes with that place. And i know if i worked there, I'd never make more than 50k a year unless i become a supervisor.

    Being perfectly honest an hourly rate makes trucking look more attractive to me as a career choice.

    Thanks for the post of that article. I copied it and I'm going to give it to Bison tomorrow. I think that it is time that all drivers are paid by the hour. No more free time for anything.

    The none driving pay still too low, not as bad as those LAIDLAW which on pays $16 for non driving
    The $28 per hour is fine but total BS to drop wage to $18 for any other hours of service. Can't imagine a welder working at a reduced rate when he's doing work other than welding

    They have nice equipment but sooo slow lol.I've seen them pull 53foot doubles in Canada which I thought was really impressive.

    It's not really.. lol. I've been doing turnpikes and triples for 17 years now. You get use to it.
