Your shop can set the limit using the software for your truck . It doesn't have to be anything permanent . You can change the setting when you leave Ontario .

Memory serve, I saw an article in Transport Topics that Ontario already passed the law, and the way I read the article, yes, American trucks must comply. But I also believe it was only passed in Ontario & was not a national law, but merely a provincial law.

It is passed in Ontario and Quebec. Every truck operating within the province must be locked at 105 KMH, roughly 65 MPH. I know Freightliner dealers are charging 1/2 hrs labour to lock it, if there is no password

I've been doing a run to Canada the past couple of years but will probably ask to have someone else put on it . It used to be a good deal . I made $600 plus usually some detention time for a 2 1/2 day trip 4 to 6 times a month . Then it slowed down to 2 to 3 times a month . They schedule the loads the beginning of the month . Then they give short notice of a schedule change . I'll be scheduled to load Tuesday and deliver Wednesday . They call the Friday before that and change it to load Wednesday deliver Thursday . Dispatch already has all the Monday 2 day loads covered and no short runs Tuesday so I lose a load . That is the only load I do to Canada and the added inconvenience of a speed limiter makes it just not worth the aggravation . I make trips in TN and KY the rest of the month and don't wanted to be forced to drive below the speed limit .
