Somehow the only ride you might get is is a Cab going from Brisbane airport to the City as in the USA drivers are reluctant to take hitchhikers for legal reasons.

Don't need a cab, my girl has a car...

Also, it hurts being called a USA driver :(

Canada<> USA i mean is there a difference? It must of been when your Government decided to change from right hand drive to left hand drive that we Aussies pretty much thought you'd become American. To us all your accents sound the same its kind of like you guys can't tell the difference between a Kiwi, Aussie, English or South African accent. I used to get called English, and even German while driving in the USA if was kinda funny. I'm sure you'll get over it.;)

I'd love to pull a road train just once. What're the chances of that happening?

We don't have shotguns strapped to our dashes, we don't carry them with us to wal mart. We don't shoot people because we disagree with their politics, religion, color of their skin.

There isn't once place in the states I feel "safe". Infact, I regularly go over my hours just so I don't have to sleep in my truck there...

I mean seriously do you really feel that way? I lived and drove over there as well i never felt scared i'm thinking maybe you drove on the east coast perhaps. But i do agree after that recent shooting of that film crew its time to take gun control to a new level.

IMO gun control is a wasted effort. Canada has some strict gun laws and a lot of people with an anti gun mindset, yet look at places like Vancouver or Toronto. There are still a ton of shootings each year. IMO rather than restricting gun owner's rights, they should take on the source of the problem, mentally unstable people.
