I'm sorry this is happening to you.
Please sell the truck ASAP. Truck values are declining. The payments are probably not declining. Sell it today. Selling the truck is not accepting the end of everything. It is getting rid of a big payment. Holding on to the truck may be emotion-driven decision. Emotions are not good for making decisions.
God bless you.exhausted379 Thanks this. -
Sell the truck. There is no good reason to drain your cash.

Ask a local church for help. Lots of people can run errands for you or take you to appointments. Asking for help is hard for some people but many people want to help, they just don't know who needs help.Wargames Thanks this.

you really NEED to contact a lawyer that specializes in Social Security disability and MEDICAID, which is state run, SS as you know is federal
medicaid can provide FREE rides to and from doctors, hospitals, clinics, etc,etc..all medical things.
you can most likely show a financial need.
you might have to sell things you own, even of it pains you, but the more you show financial hardship, the better your chances for your lawyer to get you want you need ASAP.
many things like meds, treatments can be or will be free from that point on.
but start with a lawyer that specializes in SS disability claims.
best of luck, i wish you well, and hope you beat this cancer. -
everybody saying, "sell the truck, aren't reading the posts, I guess.
it's his only transportation, a pickup.
if he owes more than can be made on a sale, he still has to make payments.
social security takes time to be processed, sometimes a long time.Space Truckin, Wargames, Speedy356 and 2 others Thank this. -
which if a person is doing that on his/her own, then a lawyer that specializes in SS can get it done faster, and by the way, there is NO CHARGE...the lawyer takes his fee, under state law a percentage, from the "back money" when the claim was filed.
i KNOW THIS from personal experience.
ATTORNEY FEES IN DISABILITY CASES.REO6205 Thanks this. -
Contact a social worker too. It is their job to help people in predicaments.
Numb Thanks this. -
