Cannonball record broken again

    But with the number of 58 mph Swift trucks out there trying to pass another 58 mph Swift truck, how do they get around the rolling road blocks???
    Would only take one or two of these incidents to ruin any record run.

    The best Cannonball was the first (competitive--the actual first Cannonball was not competitive) Cannonball. Won by a guy named Gurney... in a Ferrari... written about by Brock Yates in Car & Driver... one fine. No modifications. No spotters. No decoys. Nothing like the way they do it now. Just drive as fast they dare ("...never exceeded 175 mph." - Dan Gurney :D) and pass everything on the road except gas stations.

    I swear there was a picture, taken by Yates somewhere in Arizona, of the speedometer showing ~173 mph, but I can't seem to find it.
