They do. It is the spider cable.

I have it but my issue is that it is much too short. The standard 6 or 9 pin cables are 6' long the spider cable is almost 3 and the way it runs through the dash it makes mounting the unit tight. Went to the RM web site to find a longer cable and it dose not exist.

That's the current guidance. I'd verify the engine date of course. If the engine is a 99 you are good on paper logs.

Trucks with older engines exempt from ELD mandate, FMCSA says

I would suspect since the truck/engine is titled as 2000 you will have to comply.

However, if a truck’s model year is older than 2000, but the engine model year is 2000 or newer, the driver is still required to adhere to the ELD mandate.

This is exactly why the law is a failure.

The plug needs to be mandated as a standard for ELD specially since they are going to require the device and a VERY SPECIFIC harvesting of data ...

It's not that hard to Mandate a proper standard for the plug and data from OEMs if it was well thought out it could've been done.

*Even the old trucks running electronic motors could have complied if the idiot lawmakers had their shttt straight.

The ELD law is just another USA Idiocracy at work. Seems to be the norm now that Obamacare set the bar so low.

I would ask them if all protocols are met for the ELDs. I suspect not for the port
