God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!Lite bug Thanks this. -
Thank you for your help everyone. I certainly learned a big lesson. And I won't be coming back to Canada anytime soon. The load got delivered but I wasn't compensated for the day I lost waiting. Well today is a new day, I'm glad I found this forum in the process. I'm sure I'll be reading through it daily looking and learning the ropes.
D.Tibbitt, Lite bug, Speed_Drums and 6 others Thank this. -
Did you or somebody fill out 1 of these or something similar.
And I think the number missing in the OP is the entry number.magoo68 Thanks this. -
No fuss-no muss now.Aamcotrans and Long FLD Thank this. -
It isn't specific to Manitoba nor specific to CMV drivers. Admissibility is federal so it applies at every border crossing and it is every driver convicted of a DWI (regardless of license class or vehicle when convicted) and every vehicle that arrives at the border.
If a driver has a DWI in their background there is a "rehabilitation" process ($$$) they can follow in order to gain entry.
However, if you have a valid license, and are otherwise admissible, then there is no driving restriction, regardless of background.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
Canada is a breeze provided everything is in order. We carried printers in our trucks and once we got the email with all our info all we had to do was stop before the border, print what we needed, and then cross. So much easier than it used to be. We load in Columbia Falls and our paperwork would be processed by the time we hit Eureka.

Like I said, it ain't worth the hassle crossing
Any borders and having to deal with border patrol
Of any kind. Nothing good can possibly happen,
Only bad things.
And you don't get a penny more for the headache.
You can take all my Canada loads.
I can make a fine living in the lower 48.born&raisedintheusa, D.Tibbitt, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this. -
And again, 99.9% of the time the only issue is the line to get to customs. -
It's not the SYSTEM that's the hassle.
So any hassle is on you. -
are you still sitting up there right now trying to hear from the broker? Did you get arrested?
