IDK what a flat is but 120 degrees is 1/3 of a complete turn.

I believe a flat is each face of the bolt head where the wrench fits. Square has 4 flats. Hexagon, most bolts, 6 flats, octagon has 8 flats .

    Each flat is 60°

    6 flats on a hexagon × 60° = 360°

Do you know if Clutch bolts are the same way? I'll go and grab those as well if they are.
    Thanks

Just an fyi to anyone reading this post, I purchased new bolts and was able to torque them to 46ft/lbs and apply another 120 degree angle turn afterwards. Thanks for everyone's advice!

    Glad it worked out

any of the bolts with ft lbs plus degrees , is a one time use bolt .And can’t be reused . You know , because all the companies want to be green and recycle. Etc

MyLotion, Nostalgic and Last Call Thank this.
