Ok Radio experts, cant figure out whats going on. I have a conex 3300 and it won't recive but about a half mile. When I hook up my Galaxy 959 I get out about 4 to 5 miles. I've had the radio checked out by several places, they all say theres nothing wrong, they say putting out 45 to 50 watts, I know my ground is good as the galaxy wouldn't reach out. Any one have any thoughts?
can't figure whats wrong

Does the receiver meter move around normally on a channel with activity on it? Turn the squelch knob a bit end to end. Listen for a lite thump from the speaker when the squelch knob crosses the point where the audio would normally be muted. If you can hear the thump, it crosses a lot of stuff off of the list of things to check.

Make sure your on the proper band. Maybe you turned the knob by accident. Usually 11 meters is "e" band.
