Heh. Marijuana is legal in PA now, has been for quite a while.. Yet they bust this guy. It's all about the money.

They can't seem to fix the roads, despite snarling traffic trying to do so, but they sure can spend a few weeks of man hours tracking down some pot...

Medical Marijuana has been legal in Pa since 2016 and Recreation use probably isn't to far in the future, it's all about the Money

He was busted in Texas, it's not legal there. And since it's still illegal federally, crossing state lines is a federal crime. Everyone is aware of this, including him, which was the whole reason he was trafficking it and money laundering to begin with. Regardless of your feelings on marijuana (I personally think no drugs should be illegal once you're 21), it was a good bust. He broke the law and knew it.

 

No matter how you feel about it or the legality of it.

It sure is about the money. What's the big mystery? Do you have any idea how much gets transported from these "legal" to "non-legal" states? This is a drop in the ocean. Colorado is legal, BUT, the cops have a field day, sitting outside these dispensaries at night, waiting for these people, and bust them for a license plate light( or whatever),,in new cruisers the marijuana tax probably provided. Colorado took in $288 MILLION dollars last year in marijuana taxes. They're adding an addition to our hospital, paving our side streets, and building new schools, county highway dept. got a brand new fancy Cat grader, and yes, new police cruisers thanks to the tax. It's pretty hard to look the other way with that kind of revenue.
