For what is worth, I too have a Degree. Over a year ago, I had concluded that I would be better off going to an independant truck driving school, get all of my endorsements, including Tankers, HazMat,and Doubles/Tripples, I added a TWIC card on the side for extra measure. I left the fact that I had a Degree off of all my applications, filled out the online applications and had five companies to pick from. I chose one of the Mega Carriers and quickly concluded that driving in a Team Environment was not healthy for me. I simply had dificulty getting a good nights sleep when the Truck was moving. The ONLY time our truck stopped was for, Fuel, Drop off or Pick up a load or a reset of hours. Showering and meals was coordinated during a seat switch. My point is that until one drives Teams, one does not know what a restful nights sleep is or should be. I was fatiqued driving Teams and said something about it to my driver trainer. Things went south from there. I aslo found out that at the terminal if you know that someting is wrong and you point it out to your DM, you may be blackballed. Case in point, My driver trainer logged me on to the qualcom while I was asleep, at 1:30 am and drove under my name while I was in the sleeper to his home, parked in his driveway for a quickie and then went back to the drop yard, then he logged me off of the qualcom and himself back in to the qualcom. When I confronted him, he said I forgot to log off after my shift (BS). I should have let it go (I was told I was to smart for my own good.) So, sometimes it may best to blend in and fly under the radar. From now on, I will keep my mouth shut, take good notes and CYA. My issue is with dishonesty, not omission of fact, therefore if you have a Degree, if you can do it, leave it off of your application. If it comes up latter, say you overlooked it. I'm just saying......

if you can swing it, pay out of pocket for school. many companies offer tuition reimbursement. SNI bumped theres up from 3500 to 6k. helps getting that check each month seperate from pay.

You have a master's and want to drive a truck? Why?
Keep applying to the mega and smaller carriers. If one of them won't take you it's a cold day in hell. -
Go to a private school or community college CDL program & you will be hired. Get a passport & TWIC and try to get all endorsements. There are many, many drivers with degrees, some higher than yours. You just need a different approach, and you will do fine.

Yes dont mention a masters. They want someone that has been around trucks. Not in school their whole life.

I'm not doubting your word on anything but maybe there's a flaw on your records that you're not aware of.I would call a company you already applied to and ask them.
