Yeah I live in Duluth you need to log some miles if you want a local job up here in the sticks. I started otr to get experience and go local after a year but I really enjoy otr so I might just stay out here forever. (If my wife don't divorce me) lol

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok thank you concerning the video. If you can't see it then why can I?Anyway what I mean is companies are in high demand for drivers right now.Their insurance companies are turning away drivers left and right Too high of csa score too many marks on mvr,hos violations ect ect.So that's why drivers are a huge commodity. If you ever go past a terminal theres a good chance you'll see a lot of vacant trucks.

OP does not really want to drive or he /she'd take whatever and the experience it would provide.

The job at magnum doesn't sound that bad at all. But if you go that route there's always a chance to move up.

Here you go man you are not in that boat alone. Here is my thread on this topic. Fortunately I had a drive test yesterday and was supposed to hear about my physical today but never did. I can tell you these trucking companies waste a ton of money on physicals, everyone wants their own doctor to check you out, crazy. So still sitting here waiting but maybe , just maybe I will get a call tomorrow.

    Check out my post below.

Yeah, I won't go to work for a company that wants me to do a physical while my current one still has better then a year left.

... Especially the way it works with the reporting now, you could end up screwed if the doctor doesn't like something and you get a failed exam reported. It's a risky deal. Could you imagine if companies required you to go take the State drive test again as part of a pre-hire? Crazy is right.

It's one thing to take tests for a company's internal review, but when their tests can disqualify you from working ANYWHERE, beware.

Hope it works out for you.
I did not want to do OTR or local, wanted dedicated or line haul, but to get my medical card I had to get a medical waiver and that says I cannot cross state lines. I live in a small state and will be looking at LTL Co.'s and a local garbage waste hauler when I have class A in hand.
