    I really don't have this problem, if I pass you don't worry you're there isn't going to be a chance of you passing me. Just hang onto your doors I don't want to be responsible for sucking them off. :biggrin_25522:

    Just this morning I had a car riding on my trailer going down US 67 here in Texas. A buddy of mine who was going on the same job, decide to ride right next to me.. We did this just to piss of the 4 wheeler.. He/she was unable to pass us for a while.. So he/she, just decided to get off the nearest ramp, and get on the highway just a head of us..

    This part of your post can and does go two ways.

    I've had MORE problems with large car O/Os or more likely hired hands of large car O/Os doing the same thing to me.

    I drove for a window company for several years...windows don't weigh a lot, so I could maintain speed on grades. My truck ran about 80, although it rarely ran above 72.

    I've been cut off for left lane passing on the hills, invited for a trip to fist city more than once and passed on the flat land coming up on a truck stop only to be cut off right at the exit ramp. Usually by some little loud mouthed runt of a chicken hauler who hadn't been near water since he crossed the last creek. But...he had a Pete that would run 125 and a big radio that could broadcast to Arizona from Arkansas....(where he got them chickens)...don't ya know.

    They're the types that always bring a knife to a gunfight too.

    So.....I feel your frustration.....BTDT.:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

    I'll get pass 6 or 7 times by the same truck and end up parked at the same place for the night. Yes I drive a governed truck. I'll also hear the driver complain about not getting any miles. I've been tempted several times to tell the driver quit stopping to play Cherries at every T/S they come across.

    If I pass you, You'll probably not see me again unless I stop to eat or pee 'cause I got no time for video games and no interest in truckstops for the most part. When I'm running long I usually put down around 700+ miles a day so you probably won't see me when you stop for the night either.

    Only dummies call you out for a fist fight over anything that happens out here and from what I've heard they never stop anyway so...Who cares aabout them and their big mouths?

    Yeah same thing here you'll only see me once and I'll be 150 miles farther down the road at the end of the day too. Although in fairness I had that same observation a few times when I drove a company truck.

    Why is it that most of the guys with the classic bricks like passing "slower trucks" and then brag about it. i've notice that when they're right next to you they even floor it so you can -hear- their turbos :biggrin_25512: . I dont drive a governed truck but i ride at just about 68mph and i see this everyday......ridiculous

    There are idiots on all sides of the issue. I run a lot of miles, I like to get it done as quickly as legaly possible so I can relax a bit at the end of the day. Consequently, I pass guys that are moving at a slower pace...I don't brag about it, I just do it.

    The original point of the discussion was why do some guys freak out about it and do/say stupid things?

    cause if people didnt say or do stupid things our jobs would be boaring as hell!,
    i drive a company truck, 66 with the cruis on, and just go about my bizz, if i have to pass, ill do just that, i just hate coming up on other trucks, company AND o.o that run faster then me, but insist on running 65/66 makes for a long passing.
    another thing, has anyone els noticed us xprs moving along a lot faster then 65 lately?

    A company truck that only runs 63-65 mph will not do the same miles a day as truck going 72, trust me. You may have a truck pass you a few times a day, but where did you start and where did he start his day? I did 754 miles yesterday, i know a company truck cannot do that with a correct logbook.

    I don't care about other trucks slow or fast, just be safe.
