    >It is very presumptious to conclude that because someone states they "have an Idea", you state that "they know". When using Logic one discovers that ANYONE can have "an idea" about ANYTHING and NOT know exactly what the conclusion may become. Example: this post.
Ideas are merely Energy Pulses where many of them are not worth continuity. "Having an Idea" is merely having a Thought and No One can regulate Thinking. Our Country was based on Ideas and formulated into Actions where many Actions were not necessary, this is simply the way it was....or is.
    >I "have an Idea" about you however having never met you in person, I'm not able to deduce its applicability, so does this then mean that "I KNOW" what it is that I have "an Idea" about even though I don't know?? >Interesting compilation of linguistics, eh??
    >I had a dream yesterday that I was a Butterfly. Today, am I a Butterfly dreaming I'm a Man??
    >I'm a careening Truck Driver (I like to keep people awake) and I don't feel insulted because someone is "voicing" an opinion!!
    >I used to roll the Nor'East however I don't anymore because of the parking problems alone and with the "new" rules for idling, I shall NOT ever go there again in a Combo. I prefer Chicago to NYC.
    >I have NO disrespect for ANY Driver going there as many of them actually WANT TO GO, where some are seemingly "forced" to go and that in and of itself is a Insult.
    >As to the "Brethren Truck Drivers", I really don't feel any kinship to ANY Driver considering ALL the Hostility so prevalent everywhere. Very few Drivers are worthy of talking to with the rest being ignored simply for Sanity and Safety reasons alone.
    >If WE, the Drivers of this Country, could EVER form some sort of Unified (Simplified) Agreement or USA, We may then have a definitive voice in how things are MANdated. Until then WE'll simple idle along until the whole system collapses or we're replaced by Foreigners willing to accept what WE will not.
    >The time grows short!

    >I hold no contempt for ANYONE here at The Truckers Report because WE are ALL merely seeking resolution to many seemingly un-ending anomalies inherrent in this the Trucking realm.

    >BEst of WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL (ad)ventures!! :happy3:<

"we're replaced by Foreigners willing to accept what WE will not.
    The time grows short!"

    Absolutely Correct!

Americans are rapidly being replaced by foreigners in every industry in the U.S... even bill gates says "I have to wait 4-5 years for workers from india and china to obtain visas to fill high tech jobs in the U.S."... what the HELL!! I am sure I heard somewhere (U.S. elected crooks) that the reason we were dumping low tech jobs to mexico, china etc.. was that Americans were being trained for the high tech ones??...
How much of the "Federal destruction of America" are we willing to take? Are we're going to have to go to the bottom before we start to look up?...

It seems to me if a driver bust there butts to get a load there on time then recievers should bust there butts to unload. That way the drivers can get off there property on time.

You're right, Jack. But lots of dockworkers are union members. Are you? More than likely you're not. Join a union and start putting this problem of waiting at docks permanently to rest.

No your right I am not union and if union people work like that I wouldn't be part of that Union. They have a job to do just like the truck driver so mabe they need to earn there pay. I am all new to this and I am pretty good guy but I have been around though and I know what is right and what is wrong. I will be friendly and ask nice about thing but that will go so, far if I don't see any action about shippers unloading my truck in timely fashion. I understand if there busy but I won't understand if there just sitting around and joking around. Yes I might ven get fire from my company that will be my least worry, I always believe people going step on you if you allow it I am just not that type a person to be step on.

The reason the dockworkers do the stepping is they're union and you're not, meaning you'll have to put up with it. Laziness is human nature, and we have to fight against it tooth and nail. You protect yourself and society in general when you don't allow someone else's laziness to become your problem. Collective bargaining is how you can help yourself a lot.

alright, im not tryin to make anyone upset here but.....
not all union members are lazy.....darn near everyone i know here in the IBEW locals 206 or 44 are anywhere near lazy
Being a current local 206 member as a heavy equipment operator/ truck driver i know darn well better. My crew busts their butts for 8 months of the year to keep our customers happy, and it doesnt help when our job sheets come from the customer a month behind, neither does the 4 months of frozen weather we get in montana. So far as the dockmembers...i have no idea as i have never been assoited with them in either this job or when i was OTR.
once again i AM not tryin to make anyone upset....just stating a fact that some unions bust thier butts
