Make sure you sign a lease-purchace agreement so you are guaranteed a successful career....

It's good to have ambition, and I wish you the best of the luck. That being said, you're a little too hot to trot here. If you've ever jumped into a cold lake and your balls tried jumping up into your stomach as a result of it, that's what you're going to find yourself in for proverbially if you decide to go all in before you're ready to.
Even though you've graduated from school, you still have a lot to learn, both about the industry and about operating a big truck.
I'm sure you'll learn these things just fine, just realize that it doesn't happen overnight.thehornet Thanks this. -

Witching Hour - I tried that lake with The Freezing Cold Water a long time ago, must admit, it was certainly a rush... -
It's nice to see that your enthusiastic about trucking, believe me, I can relate. I love this Career choice and honestly couldn't be happier.
I got on with a Great Starter Company and haven't had one problem with them yet. I love working for them because their safety conscious.
As for Owner Operator, I wouldn't recommend going that route right out of school. Trust me, i wanted to buy my own truck and trailer and lease onto a company right away. I had some good people on this forum guide me in the right direction though. I'm a company driver for now. I'm waiting to get a few years under my belt and get more experience before going O/O. I'm saving money until I turn 23 and can go O/O with a company I've been reading about.
You'll have to push through the bull.... and find the good information other drivers will leave on this forum.123456 Thanks this. -
