So got a delivery to cape Canaveral AFB building 60650 tomorrow... Never made a delivery to a military base so just wondering if there is anything I should know beforehand.

I'd be thinking do EXACTLY as instructed when you get to the gate...

Leave your side arm somewhere before you get there. Along with anything else questionable !

Don't crack jokes with the guards. They tend to be lacking in the sense of humor department. Stick to yes sir/ma'am, no sir/ma'am.

Do everything they tell you, be respectful, unless it's an officer don't call them ma'am or sir, follow their directions to a T, and don't take anything in like a firearm in

Why not call a non-officer ma'am or sir? Just curious.

Another thought: make sure you don't have any outstanding warrants for anything. I was at the gate of a military base next to a dump truck driver who was cuffed and detained due to a warrant he was apparently unaware of.

It's a respect thing. NCO's HATE being confused with officers.

As the joke goes: "Don't call me sir, I WORK for a living!"

    "Yes Sergeant!"

Last time I was there they didn't ask for my twic Card but it seemed to be helpful somehow. Still had to wait for an "escort" to the delivery site.

    Nothing to write home about.
