Thanks. Hope you have a happy and prosperous new year as well.

I agree, I just don't see a way to make a viable load board if you don't have unique freight. With RAT and others dispatching more and more of their loads from their own boards, maybe that is the start of a new way to operate. Maybe that will develop a need for a program that lets you see and sort loads from all of the boards a carrier is qualified on. I would be interested in being involved with developing a system like that.

I have been noticing some of the worst rates ever lately. Someone posts a car for .28/mi and then i see someone take it. I wonder sometimes if people understand that this drives down the rates for everyone. I dispatch personally and I tell you that just doesnt make any sense to me. You cant drive on those kind of rates. Any one else been seeing stuff like this?

Rat called me 3 times today to move cars, but I couldn't help them. I also have a Broker biz and we have been calling our regulars before posting on Central. My CD bill was $300 this month.

We are a carrier and broker and dispatcher so we pay for lots of extras. We post 100 cars a week and we get a whole bunch of notifications.

This is exactly why my car hauler is parked! We hauled from So Cal to Texas for three years solid and loved it. We had a minium of $400 per position to the truck. We also charged for terminals on our POV's because trying to get a big car hauler in residential neighborhoods is ridiculous. So cars going from so cal to texas on average were paying $625 for POV's and $400 for auction and dealer freight. All was good with the world. Until the rate cutting basta@#s came along. Then of course everyone on central started going cheaper and cheaper. Where will it end?
