Car Hauling Driver Salaries

$1500 before taxes? Or bring home?

 

I'm hoping that is take home, or I'm paying my guys too much, they can gross 1500.00 running a 3/4 car!

 

He says gross in his post. That's seems low for all that work

 

I would think (hope) that true stinger 9,10,11 guys and all the loading unloading they do are closer to 2G's a week?

 

Nice round like that? At least $2K!

 

My buddy works for them and a good solid week for him is $2,000. Some weeks a couple hundred more and some a couple hundred less. However he may be leaving as they are starting to nit pick drivers about working if they have hours left on their 70. His boss called him after a $2,000 week and 55 hours and wanted to know why he wasn't working on a sat. Boss said corporate was cracking down and if you have hours, you better be working. A good carhauler won't be nit picked for long if he is giving you 50-60 hours a week, in my opinion.

 

I know what I'm making and I don't run east coast anymore. I could do $1500 being broke down a day or two.

 

One other thing to note, I'm sure that they have a good benefit package, I don't offer HC, there is no way to pay what I do on a 3/4 carrier AND pay HC bennies.

 

Well I'll just say this, to any car haulers making less than 2K gross a week, we have company drivers making nearly that pulling a box! So please stop working for pennies!
