If my numbers are correct what you can make driving 15 000 miles on dry van you can make driving 10 000 miles as car hauler and 13 000 miles as refrigerator. This is when you are just a driver. If you are OO, nothing compares to car hauling

Did you ever get into Car Hauling after all? I'm in the process of getting into car hauling myself and I would like to know how it's working out for you. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Best thing about auto haul is YOU truly ARE the Captain of your ship, you have more decisions, more duties, more responsibilities, BUT you also have much more freedom, usually easier schedule, and above ALL, you load and unload yourself, so no dock times, no pissed off fork lift driver, no union ######## too deal with.

    Just my take on it.

I love it when someone at a dealer tells me it will be a couple hours before they will have time to inspect. "Ok see you later. I'll deliver later but you'll need a check for more money".

For some reason they suddenly have the time :D
