I paid for my “Emissions” truck to run in California, if others can’t afford it, don’t come into California or get a compliant truck. Or you can be an “Outlaw” and roll the dice. Pick your poison.![]()

Dave, I dont run California. Last time I was trucking there was 2019 and I run older equipment. I snuck in and out no problem, but I am curious. If I were to roll into the rest area where carb has a check point and im in my 99 model truck, how does that work?
I guess what im asking is, what will they do? You hear all sorts of stories but i don't personally know anyone that has ever had it happen to them. Just wondering. -
I have heard different stories as well, most common one is that you get cited and go. The ones that get towed are the ones that have been cited before and either didnt pay the fine or what ……

I appreciate the info. I could believe that scenario as it makes logical sense.Diesel Dave Thanks this.

Agree with you. Have customers that ship in/out of CA, trucks not registered for emissions testing, no load.
With reefers, ARB# doesn't match the plate, no load.LOTSO, D.Tibbitt and Diesel Dave Thank this.
