Wow I guess the youtube trucker that works there may be looking for a new gig. This has been a year of layoffs and buyouts. Or just plain slashing of pay for a lot of companies.

I filled out an online application with them a few months back but because of a speeding ticket I got back in 2014 they said I had to wait a year to reapply. From the looks of things I’m all good.

one thing id stay away from is companies who base their business on one large contract. I learned my lesson with my job working for the ohio lottery

Well somebody's gotta deliver all those groceries, still. Somebody gained a big account. So, just move some drivers around is what it amounts to but it would suck to lose any seniority you may have accrued.

i know around here first fleet was doing a large amount of the kroger deliveries. One of the guys I worked with at PGT left there and went to drive for first fleet. He ended up leaving a few months later going back to PGT saying that the First Fleet job wasnt what he thought it was gonna be

Plus the union causing problems at Kroger won't help. Kroger workers want increase in pay and benefits. When I drove for First Fleet in Tennessee, sometimes delivered to Von's in California which is owned by Kroger. Von's lost a lot of business when their employees were hateful to the customers that crossed the picket line to shop for groceries.

It's hilarious that their union is requesting such increases. I was told once by a friend who has worked for keepers for at the time 25 years. It was her first job ever, she started in high school and was planning to retire at 30 years. She was making over $23 an hour as just a cashier/ customer service desk manager. Being in that position was one of the highest levels without being in a management position.
