Hey guys I appreciate all the replies! I have been super busy with my current job hosting weddings and everything.
I applied to TMC Transportation two weeks ago and this past Friday I got approved thank God (I have a Felony for Fake IDs from 13 years ago). I start my training August 12th and I'm very excited for the opportunity. My background held me back from good jobs for years and that finally seems to not be effecting me anymore!

    Just a few thoughts.

Are you actually able to drive a truck ... safely?

I know that they now drive like cars but just because you can steer one doesn't mean much.
This will stop your hazmat certs, it is a disqualifier, no exceptions from what I was told. While this may not mean much now, when the employment market for drivers gets worse, than it is now, that means you will need something more than just a CDL. Hazmat is one of those things that a lot of fleets look for.

A lot of drivers don't like hazmat because it basically puts a target on you for a dot inspection.
