Career Change at 53

I feel sorry for anyone who goes through training in the summer they are in for surprise come winter.

At least I will get the experience and training for the winter months.

This is Yellowstone Park in the winter,

 

I haven't had time to post since I reached my first fifty hours behind the wheel because swift has been running us non stop since we are allowed to run as a team after the first fifty.

We are waiting for a dispatch to pick up a t-call in Gary Indiana going to Nebraska, Trailer wasn't here yet so I took the time to catch up my laundry.

Will try to post more often if I get the chance.

 

Just got my laptop back today, I left it in my mentors truck when he dropped me at a hotel near the Denver terminal.

We arrived in Denver early Monday morning, 12:30 am. He was taking home time because his wife was suppose to have a c section on Tuesday so, he dropped me off and said he would be back Monday afternoon (he's an O/O) so I could grab my laundry and laptop, I am so glad I at least grabbed 3-4 days worth of clean clothes.

Because as luck would have it... his wife went into labor Monday morning and ended up going in for the c-section Monday, which is why I was with out my laptop.

Mother and baby were released yesterday so, today we get back on the road again. because they have no flatbed loads leaving the Denver area we are picking up a van load at ultimate electronics head for Phoenix AZ via Las Vegas. If I get lucky I may get to spend one night at home.

Either way I am glad to be back on the road again I am almost half way to hours needed to get my own truck, 124 more to go I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
