    You're right too. That's an old strategy to keep down the competition. Can't really blame the 0/0's though.

    Can make over $60K - $65K with hazmat/tankers as a new driver right out of school. Move on up from there.

    I think first thing to do is spend a month doing it and see if you like it. Trucking isnt for everyone.

    Got that right. When I went to school they told us after a few years only one in 30 would be driving still. I kept in touch with quite a few people who kept in touch with others. I know of 3 people that made it passed their first year, blows my mind too to think people don't think it all the way through. I have my days where I feel like standing on the beach with a few 12 foot poles or sitting by the creek drinking beers but all in all its getting me where I need to be financially. Those days will come back eventually.
