    oh heck - GO for it! the owner of your local CDL mill probably needs a new pick up truck (w/dualies and leather seats) to pull his new speed boat. FORK that $5,000 over to him post haste! just don't come on here singing the blues when you gradeeate and find that NO one is hiring drivers.

    lol, already have my cdl , only took few hours of road practice before passing it. well ive gotten a few calls from recruiters and they tell me about their schooling/training and I say i would be interested , once i say i already have my cdl they blow me off and say theyll call me if they need anyone. now wouldnt it be cheaper / easier to train someone who already has a cdl. oh well I guess its just slow in all industries

    No , it works like this . Then train someone and obligate them to a year's employment . Then they either don't give the guy any miles and he can't survive on 1,000 miles a week and quits in a couple of months or they find a minor violation in a couple of months and terminate him . Then they bill him $5,000 for schooling that he could have gotten for half that price at a private school . How many drivers do you think they do that to in a year ?
