The ticket in a school zone to the best of my knowledge has no bearing with regard to 383.51. It WILL have a bearing on the fine the driver pays and the points against the driver's license. In my first comment, I was speaking on 383.51 only! Since most of the MEGAs are self-underwriting with insurance they will be more open to hiring such a driver. Somebody like @Ridgeline most likely will not be able to hire you at least for a few years.

The lawyer I hired got a speeding ticket plea bargain. I pleaded guikty in exchange for a 12 month suspended sentence .
If I didn’t get another ticket in that county for twelve months , the first one disappeared. If I got another ticket in the following twelve months the first one didn’t disappear .

definitely hire a lawyer and fight EVERY ticket you get .
Do NOT ever ever just mail in the money and plead guilty without at least asking the prosecutor or judge to reduce it

also , always be polite to the revenue collection officer , but when you hand over the DL always ask if there is any way they could reduce it a little .

2008, home area, driving personal vehicle, got "accused" by a local dimwit city kitty of speeding, 62 in a 45.
Asked dimwit city kitty after stopping, "If I was doing 62 in a 45, how come I never overtook the car in front?" (which was the one who got away). city flunky stated "I'm not going to argue with you". I responded: "Glaringly appears physics isn't one of your characteristics".

Acquired a Traffic Attorney who had it reduced to Improper Equipment.
Attorney fee and Court costs were negligible considering NOT Hiring A Traffic Attorney!
CLASS A remained in good standing.
    CHEERS!!

The driver's annual report of violations was ended a year or so back. A company may require you to report it prior to hire. The trucking companies are still required to check driver backgrounds yearly.

Fight it tooth and nail but if it doesn't bode well for you it's not literally "career ending". Instead, you’ll most likely have to take a break for a few years until it falls off your state driving record.

This mostly boils down to insurances not wanting to cover you so the carrier can't get you on the Politics even if they wanted to home you. Sometimes it seems that the insurance companies run truck companies more than their owners.

Yes you made a big mistake. I don't agree it was a speed trap. Yellow flashing lights and a school zone.
You were speeding and guilty of inattentive driving. My guess the cop already gave you a break at 19 over.

What is the normal speed limit in the area? Would you have been speeding if the school was not open?

I'm sure the wheels of Justice will let you plea to a lesser charge and get their pound of flesh.
Ya gotta keep greasing them wheels.
Good luck and I hope you pay more attention while driving the big truck.
