I have been driving for 15 months I have a girlfriend that set me up because I would not support her habbit. I made basicly the same mistake. This was a pre employment drug test also. It is on my DAC My MVR I asked for the split test and never recieved any other information. I have talked to many companies and the answer is the same. I am going through a SAP program. It is going to cost me alot of money and the sad thing is is that I still probably won't beable to drive. I have been told that after three years they can not report it anymore. As for me I screwed up. I will pay out the money and keep on trying to prove that I am a safe and responsible driver. Good luck to you. You are not allowed to drive a commercial vehicle until u complete a SAP

EVery post there is a comment made. This guy acts like he knows what to do, I don't know why he doesn't do it. If you think that you can get a lawyer than get a lawyer and beat it. If you think that you can do that than you are wasting your time on here! If you completed the SAP and are confident that that is all you need to do to be legal to drive again than put some applications in and see what happens.

I do have personal feelings on this but this isn't the place for those.

I am doing what DOT regulations say I have to do to drive a CV again. It is going to cost me a lot of money. Expect to drive again? Probabably no time soon. The company I failed for is on my DAC and I was never employed by them either. So don't fool yourself. It took about 2 weeks for them to report to USIS. However, if the company you went to isn't on the DAC or if you never recieved a call from a medical officer. Then u probably got away with one. If this is the case it is sad because drivers like us reep what we sow and should not be allowed on the road until we can prove that we are safe and sober drivers.

You are correct ohnoo, they do put it in there and they also will make sure that it goes on your MVR on your MVR it comes up as dac report serial# and identification# so the dot can see if you completed a sap and also puts up the red flag for potential employers. So chef it's not just the dac you need to worry about.

The problem is if you were to get a job and you met some hotty on the road, would be susectible to using again then go drive in 12 hrs......become a dispatcher at least you can drink a cup of coffee and sit behind a computer all day :biggrin_25526:, or look into Managing a Hotel until you have other options...

p.s. look at the instuctions on the drug novicane see if it tells you when you you should be able to operate heavy equip afterwards, follow those guidlines...:biggrin_2559:

No your not a loser, Obama smoked crack, look where he is now....best of luck:biggrin_255:

WA State law to have your learning permit requires a U/A.

Every trucking company I have been looking into, a U/A is a pre-req for hire. Including the full consent of allowing them to luck history of any U/As you've had.

For those reading in, don't be an idiot, and stay away from drugs. I don't feel like getting killed because some moron got high.

That said, a U/A can detect EVERYTHING in your body. Every little thing you've ever eaten or drank in the past 6 months can be detected in your U/A. If you have some fatty tissue, that, in itself, will hold onto the stuff you ate/drank/inhaled for even LONGER periods of time. A U/A can also tell someone EXACTLY what kind of physical health you are in. From what medications you're taking, to how your kidneys and liver are functioning.

The golden rule of 30 days for smoking pot for instance, is they go off the concentration of the drug you took. When it reaches a certain level, they can determine if it may be second hand smoke, or first person smoke. After 30 days it becomes difficult to determine which is which. (Edit to note, if you have fatty tissue, the more you have, the higher/longer the concentration will be found in your body... You can urinate hot for 7 months depending how much fatty tissue you have)

Either case, you'd have to be a pretty decent idiot to attempt to smoke/inhale/inject crap into your system. Especially when you plan on operating a vehicle that can slaughter me, and everyone else behind me. (Think I'm kidding, google "Largest car pileup in the US" a 70 ton Semi-truck destroyed 18 cars, damaged 30 others, and killed over 44 people, not including the people who're just injured. And guess what? THE TRUCK DRIVER WAS HIGH!!!)

Not meaning to come off disrespectful, or anything of the kind, but I have no sympathy at all for anyone who lost a job/position etc. because he got high.

should have thought twice before doing it.

ALSO I'd like to add, a drug called "SPICE" is detectable in your system up to 17 months. Just some info for your idiots who think it can't be tested for. FYI. All they have to do is add a certain chemical you can buy for $2.00 at a grocery store to determine if it's in your system, up to 17 MONTHS after you did it. The US Army, has also had Soldiers come into the ER and die shortly after taking SPICE, it's NOT "safe". The drug was first discovered shortly after Soldiers went into Iraq, then the formula has hit America's streets like a new "pot" under the thoughts it can't be tested for.
