This may sound odd and I can't find anything about this on the web. I got pulled over for not stopping fully at a stop sign and doing 50 in a 30 (before I get lectures about speeding I was 10 yards away from the 50mph sign where the road transitioned from 35mph, I was wrong and the cop was fine about the situation) I forgot my wallet at home that day (1st and last time for sure) so he told me he was going to do me a favor and give me a *failure to exhibit documents (my dl)* cool I told him I appreciate it and will not let it happen again and have since stopped completely when I roll that route (quite often usually 3 to 4 times a week) here is where I am confused. My boss calls me and asks me about that say and why I didn't pay the careless driving ticket. To me this was odd because the officer clearly told me he was letting me off easy and I appreciated it. The ticket is written in the companies name. A failure to appear was sent to my boss charging the company with careless driving. How can a company get a moving violation as it obviously cannot drive. The letter threatens to take away the drivers license of the company....issue a warrant, and subject to contempt of court.

    This just baffles me.

Nope...only my citation for the failure to exhibit documents. The citation was numbered after mine and has all the company info and none of mine. I was never given this ticket either.

I don't have the actual citation only the failure to appear letter from the court.

In regards to the speeding ticket , I was under the impression if you can see the posted speed limit sign than you are legally allowed to do that speed.

Nope. At least in both TX and MI the speed sign starts at the sign and legally you are speeding, or maby obstructing traffic if too slow, if you change before the sign.
I can't belive the other states would be diffrent.

impressions will get you tickets... Speed limits begin and end at the sign, not before, not after.

Really? Everybody knows they mean from the point where the sign is. How hard is that to figure? PS - if you weren't given the ticket and it has no info about you, you never signed it, get a lawyer and I suspect a judge might throw it out. If the court is on yer butt, get a lawyer anyway
