Careless driving ticket weird?

Nope nope nope. Think of it this way. If u can see the 30 mph sign but are still in the 55 they could write u a ticket for speeding. Speed zone starts at sign.

 

Indiana is the same way, the speed limit starts at the sign. A friend was given a warning for speeding, he was doing 60 in a 50, even though you could see the 65 sign.

 

You can't do the faster speed till you pass the sign, and you have to be at the lower speed before you pass the slower speed limit. By your theory, I take a route everyday and know a 55 sits at the bottom of a 25. I can see it but its a good 3/4 mile away by line of sight and still maybe 1 1/2 driving. So.... You follow where I'm going?

I call BS. you were given the ticket but since it wasn't in your name, you figured no harm in losing it. Come on dude. Push comes to shove I bet your license is the one they wind up suspending for non payment.

I wouldn't putz around anymore. Up here a careless driving charge is a BAD thing. Its a fireable offense at a LOT of companies. Better go see the jp or magistrate and see whats up. Good luck.
