    Anyone leased on to cargill and can tell me if I buy my own truck can I make money with hem

    They are mileage based pay.

    cargill is not mileage based. i was going to leased to them before i signed with landstar and they are %. 70 with a company and i dont know what if u own your own trailer. all the guys ive talked to that work there like it.

    Personally I would not lease to them. I pickup at their Milwaukee plant a lot and have seen their trucks sit there for hours (9+). Also 70% is not very much running reefer (even using their trailer) doing LTL or full load.

    Huh, was trying to get set-up as contractor and was sent a lease contract and it was $.92 + FSC. This was for bulk commodities group so they could be different.

    But still, 70% won't get you much better than that mileage rate.
