I like Steve, he's a nice guy. I never started posting on here to argue...might seem as though that is what the last couple threads have turned out to be. II have no problem with Mike and would definitely agree that we are all entitled to our own opinions. I would never ask anyone to apologize for serving this country or any other nonsense.
After some thought, Anyone who chooses to take a shake at driving should be considered, a driver in the stages of profession. My Apologies to you Mike.
I like most started doing for....money. I intend to use the company as they use me, to forward myself until ties are broken. It's a job. Try to do some good along the way,try to maintain a safe professional attitude, hell to kill anyone with the truck or bare hands ha ha. All goals and guidelines.
I managed to come in at about 13,500 miles in just under 30 days of driving on the latest tour. I am content with that. No major breakdowns, had to replace a sight on a trailer hub at one point but that was the worst of it. Truck ran like a champ. Ended up doing 2 restarts which I could have done without but I was eating miles.
Driving, depends tremendously on feel. Of the road, equipment, the roll of body and load, traffic situations and a degree of instinct as we all know. The careers that lay within the industry are some of the most secure jobs in the country at the moment. They will be what you make them if you choose to join the ranks.
If you ever feel that you are not getting a fair deal, then the decision to simply move on should be fairly obvious weighing both positives and negatives of any company.
I wish you all the best of luck and I, if had to do things over in terms of a driving career, would definitely do some things differently. That is not how this thing works though. Hell I might not even have started with Cargo Express had they not been based in my home town. I have been there eight years though and am happy with my pay and home time at the moment.
Take care and drive safe. Eric -

I'm good with a word salad. You are not much of a typist...must not be much of a reader either.

Do you feel insulted?? I have clearly made a statement. I would lean toward YES on you blowing smoke out of your crack....You are not the reason I thread on here though. I think that is quite clear as well. Enough with all this, I can do this on a CB radio. Good day, sir.
The new class shows promise. I will Continue the uphill stride despite what others make think or say about cargo. I have a few of my own differences with them. They remain that. MY differences. The "newbies" will have to form their own judgment. I promise to make a sincere effort to not send "jello heads" to drive amongst the rest of the CDL toting club, ok?? Take care all.....even you Mr. Duncan. Drive safe and as my father always told me when I was touring, "Watch your back out there".

Do not work for this company, all they do is lie, lie, lie. And by the way if you have a preventable accident, they will charge you $1,500.00 for the insurance deductible no matter how much the damage actually was. And if you quit or get fired, they will still come after you and will file a law suit against you, not sure this is legal, but they are doing it. Very sad to see a company so petty in their ways. If your a professional driver, stay far away from this company.
rnmouse1 Thanks this. -
Yeah, there's nothing else like disposing of the previous drivers pee jugs, constantly having breakdowns, layovers with no pay, dispatchers yelling at you to keep moving even though you're out of hours, Brokers sending you to pickup/delivery when there is no way you can make it on time and getting your ##### chewed out for being late, receiving a bill in the mail from the owner of the company saying you owe us $2,000.00 for damage to equipment 5 months after you quit, but there's no itemized bill stating what it is for and then getting a call from a collection agency demanding payment. I could go on and on but......
