Oh wow, you've been around this block a time or two, I can't believe you'd take interest in the guy just entering the business. I've learned a lot in my two weeks of training so far, and I know it's nothing but a learning experience until I stop doing it. I might not be the best, or become the best, but I'll do my best. I hope that I get a good week this week, last week was on the down side from the beginning, but as you said, it happens.

You have a good outlook to your new career.. I respect that. I well remember when I started out. Everything can be a little overwhelming at first but will get easier with each passing week. I wish you well as you begin a new chapter in life my friend.

Sitting at the terminal for a few minutes before I head back out. As I walked in to the lounge another driver was walking in and we talked for a couple of minutes. Reminded me of one of the main reasons I really liked it here during orientation. I've got 5 and a half more weeks in training and I'm just doing my best to make it through it. The hardest part is being stuck with a person with no escape. I'm learning a good bit, but every mistake I make either bothers me to no end, or makes me feel like my trainer is getting pissed off at me. I'm just ready to get in my own truck, I know I've still got a lot to learn but my goal is getting in my own truck.

I'm hanging in there. Told my trainer that if I don't finish training it won't be my call. I don't quit easily. He isn't giving me any issues, he is just burnt out on training. But after training for years with no break I guess it's bound to happen. Things seem to be getting better, I'm getting unloaded and waiting to head on down the road to get my next load.

No, there's no issue related to the job, other than I hate making mistakes and I've made plenty during training so far. But they are getting further and further apart as I learn. My main issue is living in someone's personal space. I can't just say "hey man I'll see you tomorrow" when he is having personal issues and I can't really go to my own area to sleep and relax.

Just keep telling yourself..It's only 8 weeks, it's only 8 weeks. I don't know anything about your situation, but from everything I've read you like the job and company. Get thru your time, get your truck and you'll never have to go through it again for any length of time. 2 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things..

That's been my thought process. It's not that long, and honestly it's going by fast. I do like it here, my only gripe is 63 mph trucks.

Get a couple years of experience and you can go some where with faster trucks LOL. My first week after leaving cargo I was in a 85mph truck. And since then in a 78mph truck. It's a lot of fun but also takes some obedience and self control to not abuse it. It would be very hard to go back to a 63mph truck.
