How long does it generally take a shop to replace carrier Bearing? Just trying to get a idea of how much I'm going to be paying. Thanks.

2 hours max, maybe even an hour.
snowman_w900, Dave_in_AZ and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Surely theres a mechanic on TR that can give you the actual book hours of labor on this. I changed my own so i know what kind of labor is involved, not hard to do.
JonJon78 Thanks this. -
I would rather do my own as I will have time over the long holiday weekend... haven't found a good video on YouTube yet... gonna search some more... I dont need a press do I?Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I had to cut my old one off with a side grinder. That was the hardest part. Getting it on after using some emery cloth to clean it up wasn't bad.
EverLuc, Dave_in_AZ and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Ya that's what I'm worried about I dont have that or torch or anything with me.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Seems to be a decent videoRideandrepair Thanks this. -
I feel you'll have a difficult time with it without something to cut it off.
JonJon78 Thanks this. -
Maybe not spray bolts good and often for a good while pb blaster before hand. Use straps to support drive shafts . Mine was easy. Rear main seal leaking helped a lot Lol. But otherwise it’s an easy 1 hour job ( 2 or 3 hrs for you and me ) Not big deal self explanatory.Or even Shop charge $ 150 total Id be happy with it.shatteredsquare, Muddydog79, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.

No problem getting the two bolts to the frame or u joints. My issue was getting the old bearing off the driveshaft.
Dave_in_AZ, Rideandrepair and JonJon78 Thank this.
