Carrying a taser

Another interesting thing is that it may be perfectly legal to carry a flare gun in all places(just not loaded). For example: A 26.5 mm flare gun in a defense situation would be devastating to and attacker not expecting something like this...

 

Carry whatever you feel like carrying..As long as you are ''willing'' to pay any or all penalties,Who Cares...Do what ya gotta do...

I have carried my .38 for many many years...I do what i have to do and they will do what they have to do...Simple..But i will assure my own Personal Protection at all costs...

 

landstar, I don't disagree with what you are saying. Heck, I feel the same way. However, being caught with one, without the proper permit in certain areas can be and is a felony. There are other alternatives that don't have the same harsh consequences.

 

That fire extinguisher you have in the truck works well for defense in a pinch.
But your life better be at risk cause chances are your going to blind the person.

 

YMMV but if you take a close look at a taser you will see that the prongs are barbed and police routinely take people they have tased to a hospital to have them removed.

Stun guns are perfectly legal in most places and you can order them online for about $20-30. I have had guys jump on my truck and all I had to do was pull out the stun gun and push the button. The noise alone is enough to scare most people. Then they just shoot off their mouth (from 10 feet away). But they won't get close once they see the stun gun. They clip on your belt and don't weigh more than a few ounces.

 

Tell THAT to Jason Rivenburg... oh, wait! He's frickin DEAD because some thug shot him whilst sleeping in his truck...

 

This makes as much sense as shooting yourself, if you carry a gun, or hitting yourself with your tire thumper.
