Well go into any truckstop. Look at all the drivers. Listen to them. Turn on the CB. Now tell me the % of those out there that you would feel safe in knowing they were armed??:biggrin_2554:

And how many of those truckdrivers that have a legal permit to carry a gun do you hear on the CB?
And just "looking" at truck drivers determines nothing except who needs a shower, haircut or a shave.

I am a former trained fighter. I am trained in reading body language. I am always evaulating those around me.

I am far from paranoid, but aware of my surroundings at all times. A fighter is trained to react without thinking. I have not been in the ring in years, but all my former training is a reflex. I have gotten slow and my reaction time has faded over the years, but a good fighter is trained if you have to stop and think what you will do then it is too late. Needs to be a natural reaction. I carry myself well and always look for an out. I know who is around me. I look to see if they are right handed or left. If they favor any part of their body. Where their weakness is. There is a lot you can tell by a person if you know what to look for.

I never judge people solely on the way they look, especially when it comes to Constitutional matters.

A lot of drivers, I dare say the majority, have a CB persona or image they try to project. It is usually a character from the TV shows "Hee-Haw" or "The Super". You know what I'm saying. Most are not nearly as dumb as they try to sound on the CB when they are attempting to be humorous with their idiot comments and language.

If I thought for one minute what I was hearing on the CB was real, I'd be shouting Amen to your proclamations.

While a trucker may be a potential victim and target of a criminal, the beauty is that nobody really knows just for certain - does that driver pack heat or not?

The notion that truckers do arm themselves, be it many or few, does have its merit.

That's about all I'll say publicly...

Civilian deadly force training is available all over the country. I personally like the Sig Arms Training facility up in Exeter, NH. The prices are not bad and the training is the same that Sig provides to police forces around the country. Speak for yourself but apply your thinking to everyone not trained to your specs is just irresponsible. You want to carry, you need to shoot regulary with the ammo you carry in the gun to become proficient. If you seek more advanced training it is available simple as that. Law abiding armed citizens are responsible for stopping more crime than will ever be reported. Try the Sig website or goggle search for the training you desire.
