When I was talking to them they required you to live close to the terminal, not sure if it was 60 or 100 miles, because they require you to leave the truck at the terminal on the weekend when your home.

Thanks OSHB......I live south of Nashville and see so many of their trucks some days, it makes me think they are having convention down here! Thats why I thought it sounded strange that they required that.........I think they have a yard down near Lovel road exit off 40 in Knoxville, I have followed them going to that nightmare Pilot over there........and they seem to go a little farther down the road and hang a left. They might just have a customer over there.

I had noticed a couple trucks at the truckstop there but didn't know if they were just bucking the system or what.

i have an interview with carter soon, can any body tell me about how they treat you.

Well I have a couple friends that drove for them and they really liked it there, and were treated good from everything they have said. Only reason they left was when the auto freight dropped off they were real slow. However they have since picked up some other large stable contracts. One of the other posters in this thread works there he could tell you his opinion also.

I was looking at Carter, a couple of weeks back. Got two years experience, but let go of my HM when I moved back to the state.
Will they give you time to renew it? There wasn't a problem with it, I just didn't have the money!
I've done both van and refrigerated units, and have experience with irregular-route dedicated freight lanes.
How many preventables are allowed? Moving violations?
A "dock in Dayton" sort of lifted my hopes!

A little off topic, but thought I ask anyway. Anybody know if Curly Sue still works at Carter. She is a BLAST to run with, never a dull moment!! I used to see her quite often between Toledo and Va Beach, but I went to a different dedicated and haven't seen her since. It's been about 6-7 years ago, I imagine. Anybody?
