Then there's my setup, with twice as much shaft as Craig's 27"...and it's not aluminum.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Longer shaft is better on that truck

I think we got your antenna roughly in the ballpark. It might be worth hooking your analyzer up and posting some pics of the readings so someone more knowledgeable than I could offer some insight. Best to park in the middle of a big parking lot or field away from other vehicles or trees or power lines for a more accurate measurement.Last edited: Mar 5, 2017

Noooo..I had a 40" with 22" on top of that..
Met up with rabbi yesterday and we managed to get my 10k to work on a 27" shaft..#'s are not where i want them but it will do for now..
It was confusing to the both of use for a lil bit but trial and error and we got a positive solution..Not the best ut positive..Gon a try that 7ft skip shooter again when home..
Even though it better to have shorter pwr/gnd wires im gonna see if i can re route to the battery and keep them and coax even more seperated and see if it lowers some of the noise..
Love my 10k but it makes me uncomfortable seeing it angled so much and wobbleing..rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Sounded good..surprized me how clear except when i got in the hills

Sounds even better with mic gain wide open and echo switch on.
